The English Proficiency and Placement Test will be conducted for the second placement and international students who have been placed in one of the departments of our university that requires compulsory English preparatory classes as of October 13, 2025, for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The exam to be held on HKU campus consists of LISTENING, READING, WRITING and SPEAKING skills.
Students who will take the exam must show their HKU student card, ID, or passport with their photographs on them to the examiners for identification.
